YOUR RIGHTS, OUR RULES
The terms and conditions at Nirantara Resort & Spa outline the guidelines and policies in place to ensure a seamless experience for all guests. By staying with the resort, you agree to comply with these rules and guidelines. Nirantara Resort & Spa is committed to offering you a luxurious, safe, and enjoyable stay.
1. Guest Registration and Identification
1.1 Check-in Requirements:
Upon check-in, all guests must present valid, government-issued photo identification. Acceptable forms of ID include:
- Indian Nationals: Passport, Aadhar Card, Voter ID, or Driver’s License.
- Foreign Nationals: Passport with a valid visa.
1.2 Age Requirement:
The primary guest booking and staying at the resort must be at least 21 years old. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Guests will not be allowed to check-in without valid identification.
1.3 Visitor Policy:
Visitors are allowed between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. All visitors must check in at the reception with valid identification. Visitors staying beyond the designated hours will be considered overnight guests and subject to additional charges.
2. Check-in and Check-out
2.1 Check-in Time: 1:00 PM
2.2 Check-out Time: 11:00 AM
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
3. Payments and Cancellations
3.1 Payments:
All bookings must be secured with a valid credit card or deposit at the time of booking. Any outstanding charges must be settled before departure. Payments for additional services, such as spa treatments and in-room dining, will be charged to your account.
3.2 Cancellation Policy:
- Flexible Cancellations: Cancellations made 7 or more days prior to arrival will receive a full refund.
- Partial Refunds: Cancellations made between 5-7 days prior to arrival will incur a 50% charge.
- Non-Refundable: Cancellations within 5 days of arrival or in the event of a no-show will be charged the full amount.
3.3 No-Show Policy:
If you do not arrive at the resort as scheduled, your reservation will be treated as a no-show, and the full amount of the booking will be charged.
4. House Rules and Conduct
4.1 Quiet Hours:
To ensure a peaceful environment, quiet hours are from 10:30 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise levels in guest rooms and public areas during this time.
4.2 No Outside Food, Alcohol, Drugs, or Weapons:
- Outside Food & Beverages: Bringing outside food or beverages (including alcohol) is strictly prohibited.
- Illegal Drugs & Activities: The possession or use of illegal drugs or engagement in prostitution or other illegal activities is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate eviction and involvement of law enforcement.
- Weapons: The possession of firearms or any other dangerous weapons is prohibited on the premises.
4.3 No Smoking Policy:
Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. Smoking in non-smoking areas, including guest rooms, will result in a cleaning fee and may lead to eviction from the property.
4.4 Visitor Conduct:
Registered guests are responsible for the conduct of their visitors. Any disruptive behaviour, excessive noise, or violation of resort policies by visitors will be the responsibility of the registered guest.
5. Use of Facilities
5.1 Swimming Pool:
Guests are required to shower before using the pool. Proper swimwear (Nylon, Lycra, or Spandex) is mandatory. Children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers. Caps are mandatory for lap pool users and for indoor pool use.
5.2 Fitness and Sports Facilities:
- Outside Gym: Proper athletic attire and non-marking shoes are required. Guests under 16 are not permitted to use the gym.
- Sports Courts: Non-marking shoes are mandatory on all sports courts. Guests are encouraged to switch off the lights after use and return any borrowed equipment to the spa reception.
5.3 Spa Services:
Spa appointments must be booked in advance. Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment will incur a 50% charge.
5.4 Adventure Activities:
Participation in adventure activities is at the guest’s own risk. All guests must sign a waiver before participating. The resort is not liable for any injuries sustained during these activities.
6. Special Events and Venues
6.1 Weddings, Corporate Events, and Celebrations:
Our resort is the perfect destination for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. Custom event packages are available. Please note that events must adhere to quiet hours and noise restrictions.
6.2 Photography and Media Use:
Photos taken by our in-house team in public areas may be used for promotional purposes, including on social media or our website. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform our team.
7. Health, Safety, and Security
7.1 Health and Hygiene:
We maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the resort. Guests are encouraged to follow all health and safety guidelines during their stay, including COVID-19 protocols.
7.2 Safety and Security:
For the security of all guests, the resort is equipped with CCTV monitoring in public areas. Guests are responsible for the safekeeping of their valuables, and we recommend using the in-room safes provided.
7.3 Liability:
The resort is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or loss of personal property. Please take the necessary precautions during your stay.
7.4 Medical Assistance:
Basic first aid is available. Should you require further medical attention, the cost of any services or transportation will be your responsibility.
8. Guest Responsibility and Resort Liability
8.1 Damage to Property:
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to resort property during their stay. Costs for repairs or replacements will be added to your final bill.
8.2 Personal Liability:
Guests use the resort’s facilities and participate in activities at their own risk. Nirantara Resort & Spa is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or losses due to the guest’s actions or negligence.
8.3 Indemnity:
Guests agree to indemnify the resort against any claims, losses, or legal actions resulting from failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
9. Cancellation and Resort Rights
9.1 Resort’s Right to Cancel:
Nirantara Resort & Spa reserves the right to cancel or modify bookings due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or emergencies. In such cases, guests will be offered alternate dates or a full refund.
9.2 Refund Policy:
Refunds for cancellations will be processed within 7-10 business days. All refunds are subject to the cancellation policy outlined in Section 3.
10. Force Majeure
Nirantara Resort & Spa will not be held responsible for any delays, cancellations, or failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions.
11. Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.
12. Additional Provisions
12.1 Children’s Policy:
Children under 5 years old stay free. Children between 5-12 years are charged at a discounted rate, and children over 12 years are charged as adults.
12.2 Alcohol Policy:
Guests must be 21 or older to purchase alcohol. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. Guests displaying inappropriate behaviour due to excessive alcohol consumption may be asked to leave the premises.
12.3 Termination of Stay:
The resort reserves the right to terminate a guest’s stay if they fail to comply with the terms, engage in illegal activities, or create disturbances for other guests.
12.4 Visitor Entry:
All visitors must register at the reception and present valid identification. Visitor entry will be logged, and guests are responsible for the conduct of their visitors.
12.5 Prohibited Items & Activities:
Prohibited items include drugs, firearms, and hazardous materials. Illegal activities such as prostitution or weapon possession are strictly prohibited, and any involvement in such activities will lead to immediate expulsion from the resort.
